her middle grade novels as she explains the writing process.

Fast-paced classroom workshops teach students how to write to a prompt, organize thoughts,
and improve style as they begin to understand the power of words. Two class sessions
during a one middle school visitation can benefit classroom teachers as well.

Talk

Residency
Includes a book talk assembly followed by a writer's workshop in two classes. Students
learn about literary elements through highly motivating hands-on activities. Fun and
informative! All materials provided. $375.
One-Week
Residency
Includes a book talk assembly followed by five daily sessions of writer's workshop in two
classes. This provides continuity for student projects and ample opportunity to focus on
the mechanics of writing as well as meet individual student needs through fun, fast-paced
mini-lessons and activities. Free materials provided.

Two-Week Residency
Includes a book talk assembly for 60-80 students followed by two weeks or ten days of
40-60 minute writer's workshop in two classes of no more than 30 students each session.
This extended residency allows ample time for student projects and includes a Writer's
Circle evaluation process as well as tips on editing and rewriting. Query letters and
opportunities to publish will be covered. Free materials, study guides, blacklines.
